Aquaculture & Animal Nutrition

Converting biological biomass into sustainable nutrition

Feed represents a significant input in aquaculture and livestock production, creating demand for reliable, nutritionally valuable and economically viable feed ingredients.

Hands tipping feed pellets from a plain white bowl into a fish pond, with fish breaking the surface and banana plants along the far bank.

Cyvora investigates the use of cultivated and recovered biological biomass as a source of proteins, lipids, minerals and other functional nutrients for animal nutrition. Our algae platform enables controlled biomass production, while downstream processing allows biomass to be harvested, dried and formulated for specific feed applications.

We are developing feed solutions for aquaculture and animal production while evaluating nutritional composition, processing characteristics, stability and application performance. The objective is to develop locally producible biological feed resources that can complement conventional feed ingredients and strengthen the resilience of African food-production systems.

Applications include
aquaculture feed ingredients, livestock feed inputs, algae-based nutritional products and functional biological additives.
