Agriculture & Biofertilizers

Biological inputs for more efficient and regenerative agriculture

Cyvora develops bio-based agricultural inputs that recover and concentrate nutrients from biological resources and convert them into products that can support soil and crop productivity.

A pair of hands crumbling dark, friable soil over a mulched bed, with rows of young maize seedlings behind.

Our work focuses on the development of biofertilizers and biological soil amendments using nutrient-rich biomass and processed organic resources. Algal biomass provides a source of organic matter, minerals and biologically active compounds, while complementary bioconversion processes enable the recovery of nutrients from underutilized biological feedstocks.

Cyvora's approach is designed to reduce dependence on resource-intensive inputs while creating productive uses for materials that would otherwise be discarded. Our development work includes feedstock characterization, biological processing, nutrient recovery, formulation and product validation for different agricultural applications.

Applications include
biofertilizers, soil amendments, nutrient concentrates and other biological agricultural inputs.
Technology stage
Product development and deployment, with ongoing formulation and performance optimization.

Technology

The capabilities it draws on.

  • Bioconversion

Microbial and biological processes (such as fermentation and composting) that turn organic waste into stable, useful intermediates and products.

  • Algae cultivation

Controlled cultivation systems for algae and other photosynthetic microorganisms, covering reactor or pond design, nutrient management, harvesting and biomass optimisation.

Let's build what comes next.
